Priv.-Doz. DDr. Albrecht works in his practice as an elective doctor. An elective doctor is a specialist in private practice without a contract with the statutory health insurance funds (e.g. WGKK, NÖGKK, BVA, KFA...). The term "elective doctor" is derived from the patient's right to freely choose his or her doctor. Referral by another doctor is not necessary.
First ordination: 180 €
Follow-up ordination: 120 €
How is billing done in an elective doctor's surgery ?
The treatment fee is initially to be paid by the patient. Subsequently, the fee note can be submitted to the statutory health insurance for reimbursement. As a rule, the patient is reimbursed approx. 80% of the statutory health insurer's tariff (the amount received by a statutory health insurer). In the case of private supplementary health insurance for outpatient services, it is possible to be reimbursed the difference between the panel doctor's tariff and the private fee.
What are the advantages of an elective doctor for the patient?
The great advantage of an elective doctor is the possibility to deal with his patients in more detail and to respond better to their individual needs. The advantages at a glance:
- Flexible and quick scheduling of appointments
- Hardly any waiting times in the practice
- Detailed doctor-patient consultation
- Thorough examination and diagnostics
- Sufficient time for discussion of findings
- More service for the patient
If you need an operation, Priv.-Doz. DDr. Albrecht can refer you directly from the surgery to the Orthopaedic Hospital Vienna Speising and perform the surgery there. The costs of an operation are covered by your normal health insurance. If you have supplementary insurance, you can benefit from various additional services such as a stay in the special class ward.
Cancellation policy for appointments
If you are unable to keep an appointment, you can postpone or cancel it up to 24 hours in advance (if the practice is unavailable, e.g. due to a weekend or public holiday, please leave a voice message or send an email). We ask for your understanding that an appointment that is not cancelled in time will be charged at the full hourly rate. No reimbursement by the health insurance company is possible for the cancelled appointment.
